Can I increase my maximum bid?

You may increase your maximum bid at any time, but please note that YouBidLocal recommends not to increase your maximum bid until you have been outbid by another bidder, as it will increase your current bid by the set increment. Unfortunately, this is the way the auction software has been designed. We do not have control of this function. 

For example: if your maximum bid is $50 but you are currently the highest bidder at $30. You decide you want to increase your maximum bid to $75 as you feel you will get outbid.  When you enter your new max bid, it will automatically increase your last bid to $35 even if you are the only bidder.
